Dr. Vicky Goodin
Dr. Vicky has more than 25 years of professional Student Affairs experience at George Mason University, The College of New Jersey, Georgetown University, Florida International University, and Miami-Dade College. She received her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from FIU. Her dissertation was titled “The Experiences of Cuban American Women Attending a Hispanic Serving Institution and the Influences on Identity Development.”
The Strength of Our Stories…Redefining Our Narratives
Writing your story begins with changing your perspective and taking action. This session will focus on the power of stories as a means of persistence and affirmation. Participants will be invited to tell their own stories to identify challenges and articulate a vision for their futures. In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to share with their peers and discuss how they have overcome the hurdles they’ve encountered. Participants will also be given tools and tips to help guide them through the storms of being a woman in leadership.
T.I.P.S. for S.U.C.C.E.S.S.: Lifelong Lessons on Leadership
How we react to unexpected bumps in the road of life can be a determining factor in our ability to be successful and feel fulfilled in all aspects of our lives. Our levels of strength and resilience determine how we respond to life’s unexpected challenges. Attendees will learn leadership strategies for enhancing their own resilience in adversity. We will also discuss T.I.P.S. for S.U.C.C.E.S.S and how you can be your best You!
Together We Are Stronger: Communication, Connection & Collaboration
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” – Helen Keller. The key to women in successful leadership positions is how we communicate and connect with other women in leadership. Participants will have an opportunity to delve into conversations on the importance of supporting each other while on our own leadership journey.
