Dr. Naima Ricks
Dr. Naima Ricks is a dynamic leader and visionary, she has worked tirelessly to improve the community she has been a part of since the age of two. In 2013, Naima was elected Vice President of the Roselle Board of Education, making her the youngest elected official in her hometown of Roselle, NJ. For the past five years, she has graced InsiderNJ’s African American Power List and was most recently presented the “Role Model of the Year” award by the Roselle Branch NAACP.
Naima has more than 10 years of professional experience in higher education. She currently serves as Director of Programs at (NJ) SEEDS. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts Heart of NJ and is a proud and active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Omicron Zeta Chapter. She earned her Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Seton Hall University, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy. While Naima works for the public at large, she also works to enhance the development of young men and women – molding a whole new generation of leaders – through effective career coaching and professional development.
